FOCACCIA BREAD INGREDIENTS

  • Warm water
  • Granulated sugar
  • Active dry yeast
  • All-purpose flour
  • Kosher salt
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Fresh rosemary leaves
  • Flaky sea salt

HOW TO MAKE FOCACCIA BREAD?

  1. Stir together the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 15 minutes. The yeast will become frothy.
  2. In a large bowl add the flour, salt, and 2 tbsp of olive oil.

  3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead by hand for about 5 minutes. The dough should become elastic and smooth
  5. Place the dough into a bowl with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for about 1 hour until it has doubled in size
  6. Preheat the oven to 400 F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking sheet with 2 tbsp olive oil
