Here's a list of pumpkin patches around the Chicago suburbs.

But maybe you want the real deal — an actual pumpkin — in your home this season. Whether you’re planning to bake a pie, carve a jack-o’-lantern or just add some festive flair to your stoop, there are plenty of places to pick up a pumpkin near La Grange.

Here are a few suggestions:

Sonny Acres Farm in West Chicago

• Address: 29W310 North Ave. in West Chicago
• Season: Through Oct. 29
• Attractions: The Sonny Express, self-feed zoo, pony rides, sweet shop, haunted hayride and haunted barn (starting Sept. 29)
• Hours of operation: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Closed Mondays.
• Cost: Prices vary by day and activity.

Kroll's Fall Harvest Farm

• Address: 13236 W. Town Line Road in Waukegan
• Season: Through Oct. 31
• Attractions: Hayride, corn maze (this year's theme is goats), petting zoo, pumpkin patch
• Hours of operation: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Friday, 1-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
• Admission: Admission, required only on weekends and Columbus Day, costs $14 for adults and $12 for children ages 3-12. No admission required for kids ages 2 and under.

Didier Farms

• Address: 16678 W. Aptakisic Road in Lincolnshire
• Season: Through Oct. 29
• Attractions: Animal Land Zoo, Corny Corn Maze, camel rides, agriculture rides, pumpkin playland, kids activities, bake shop, concessions. Horse-drawn wagon rides, draft horse rides and silly string are available only on weekends.
• Hours of operation: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
• Cost: There is no admission fee. Tickets are available for purchase at $1 per ticket. All attractions and rides require six or fewer tickets.

Goebbert's Farm and Garden Center - South Barrington

• Address: 40 W. Higgins Road in South Barrington
• Season: Through Oct 31
• Attractions: Animal Land, corn stalk maze, duck derby, pony rides, giraffe barn, camel rides, wagon rides, magic show, jumping pillow, pig races, corn box, gem mining and more.
• Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Halloween hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Cost: Tickets for activities must be purchased online. Entrance to the farm is free of charge, but tickets are required for activities.

• Attractions: Haunted house, kiddie playland, giant pumpkin slide, tire mountain, pumpkin cannon, straw maze, jumping pillow, corn box, pig races and more.

• Cost: General admission tickets to the fall festival cost $18 per person on weekdays; $22 per person on weekends. Admission for children 2 and under is free.

Stade's Farm & Market

• Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the market; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the theme park; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pumpkin picking.
• Cost: General admission ranges from $18-22 and is $55 for a season pass. Children age 2 and under are admitted for free.

Kuiper's Family Farm

• Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday though Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Closes at 4 p.m. on Halloween.
• Cost: Pumpkin included with cost of admission in October. September prices are $17.99 online/$19.99 at the gate on weekends and $14.99 online/$16.99 at the gate weekdays. In October, prices increase to $21.99 online/$23.99 at the gate on weekends and $18.99 online/$20.99 at the gate weekdays. Admission for military personnel with ID and seniors 65 and older, available only at the gate, is $11.99. Free for kids age 2 and younger.

Richardson Adventure Farm

• Hours of operation: 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. Dogs are welcome if they are leashed and well-behaved around others.

Abbey Farms

• Cost: General admission tickets cost $18/weekends and $15/weekdays in September. In October, prices climb to $21/weekend. Save $2 on weekends and $3 on weekdays by booking online.

Bengtson's

• Season: Through Oct. 31
• Attractions: Tractor Town, Happy Swing, chicken truck, mega slide, cow coaster, free selfie booth, gemstone and arrowhead mining, pony rides, petting zoo, haunted barn, fun barn.
• Hours of operation: Open 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Columbus Day.
• Cost: Admission ranges from $19.99 to $36.99, depending on the day and time. See the website for more details. The farm has gone cashless for the 2023 season.

Johansen's Farm

• Cost: Weekday prices are $14.95 per person, while weekend and Columbus Day prices are $19.95 per person. Entrance for seniors ages 62 and older is $12.95 weekdays and $17.95 weekends. Admission to the zoo is free for veterans and military personnel with valid ID. Entrance to the market area, pumpkin patch and bakery is free for everyone.

Heap's Giant Pumpkin Farm

• Address: 4853 U.S. Highway 52 in Minooka
• Season: Through Oct. 31
• Attractions: Hayrides, pumpkin patch, flashlight maze, giant farm slide, bean maze, farm animals, haunted corn maze, moonlight hayrides and bean maze.
• Hours of operation: 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. Closes at 2:30 p.m. on Halloween.
• Cost: Weekday admission for people ages 3 and up is $8 per person, while weekend admission is $12 per person. The price includes access to all mazes, playgrounds, hayrides and the U-Pick pumpkin patch. Costs vary for the flashlight maze, haunted corn maze and moonlight hayrides.

Dollinger Family Farm

• Attractions: Corn maze, play areas, farm animals, bee barn, corn bin, train rides, hay rides, face painting (some activities only available on weekends).
• Hours of operation: Farm is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Cost: Admission is free, but some activities cost: $4.50 per person for the corn maze, $9 for full face painting, and $4.50 per person for train rides.

Konow's Corn Maze
